Job Purpose:
The Afterschool Aide works alongside the Director and other staff to ensure a safe and fun
environment for each and every child who attends the Atonement Afterschool program. Aides
are responsible for carrying out the daily programmatic, relational, and academic elements of the
program.

Duties and responsibilities:
‍• Maintain a positive, teachable attitude in all things
• Facilitate a group of students each day with their homework
• Invest in your group of students, aiming to build personal relationships with each of them
and their families
• Be available to help with activities
• Monitor the classroom behavior and report necessary information to the Group supervisor
• Maintain a safe and clean environment
• Able to promote equity in education

Qualifications:
• Experience working with children, at least a year
• Able to maintain an energetic energy while working with the students
• Able to transport students from school to facility by foot
• Ability to multi-task, move at a quick pace and work on a team
• At least 18 years of age
